Mokume Gane is a traditional Japanese technique of folding precious and unprecious metals similar to the process of layering steel in Samurai swords. The name itself loosly translates to "wood grain metal"
The mokume used in this piece is made up of layers of silver, copper and Sabuchi (an alloy of silver and copper).
